It is a known fact that kids know exactly what they want nowadays. They have opinions on everything and it is very difficult to try to change their minds once they have been made up. So, when the time comes to redecorate their rooms, it is best to take them shopping with you, so they get precisely what they want – within your budget, of course. When redecorating a child’s bedroom, it is usually done on a theme. Girls almost always want pink for everything, while boys want clean lines and no fuss. Girls like frills and lace and everything else that is pretty, while boys want murals on the walls and cowboy, cars or space paraphernalia. Fortunately for the cash strapped parent, all of these themed items are available at very reasonable prices, even bunk beds, which are the most favoured furniture item of most children. The reason that bunk beds for kids are so popular is that all children love climbing and thus one bed stacked upon another with a little ladder to reach the top bunk will not only be a place for them to sleep, but it will also be a fun place to play. There is a huge variety of bunk beds for kids on the market. They come in an L shaped format, where the bottom bed is at right angles to the top bed; or they are offered as one bed stacked above the other. The choice of design will need to be made by taking into account the floor space available in the room, but the L shaped format is very popular because both kids will be able to see each other. The bunk beds which are offered on the market today very often also have a slide out extra bed under the bottom bed, thus creating a third bed in the room. This is a great option, as it allows children to invite a friend for a sleepover without causing a major disruption in the home, with the guest having to sleep on a couch or other improvised sleeping arrangement. Almost every bunk bed offered on the market today is made from quality materials such as wood or metal and are thus sturdy and safe. They are generally decorated in bright colours, have drawers and shelving for display and storage and have interesting cut outs and features which kids just love. |
